Modelling and Religion

The received religions don't cut it any more, for an increasing number of people the very idea of 'religion' seems obsolete -- but we still need to model this human existence, we still need to find a way to talk to ourselves about life and death. And modeling -- running a micro version of life'n' death ahead of time, and learning from it -- is what religion is really all about. (Charles Cameron)
