SEPTEMBER 2003

MONDAY, 1 SEPTEMBER 2003

(Tuesday, 1 September 1998)

Late because I got lost on my way to a meeting with Annie Fletcher, Maria Hlavajova, Mark Kremer and Jan van de Pavert at the BAK in Utrecht to discuss Annie, Maria and Mark's new project: Now What? Dreaming a Better World in Six Parts.

Liberally dosing myself with homeopathics (Is it possible to have too much of so little?) I try in vain to ward off a cold. This is the second time I've been sick in less than two weeks. Is this a sign of the body undergoing change management? (Blaise Cendrars: 'Disease as health itself'.)

I am delighted by what I've been reading. I arrived last night at Block 10 of Tennessee William's Camino Real. I love this dream play. It is much more interesting than Strindberg's foray into this realm. I too am delighted by the way my curiosity is being satisfied through a series of coincidences. (An hour or two after noting that I would like to read Eliot's Sweeney Agoniste I find it contained in my copy of Seneca in English.)
